Force Augment
This item is a curious contraption of cast metal, crystal, and substances unknown to men of Faerun. Its form is that of a cylinder, with brackets on either end that can fasten the whole to a flat surface, using an unknown, non-magical adhesion.
Once so fastened, the augment begins to produce a field of energy, which permeates and surrounds the attached item, causing it to resonate in more than the usual three dimensions. This field is not magical in nature, and is not suppressed by antimagic.
Powers
- Item Type: augment (weapon, shield, armor)
- Effect: when affixed, it causes the attached item to strike as a Force effect. Meaning:
- Weapon: the weapon is able to strike ethereal and incorporeal creatures without chance of error, regardless of magical enchantment. (Does not count as arcane or holy damage)
- Armor or Shield: the armor or shield resists the touch attacks of incorporeal creatures as well as it would if they were corporeal. This does not confer immunity to such attacks, nor to non-damaging effects such as possession, but does allow the armor or shield to mitigate as normal. Additionally, the armor or shield provides immunity to push/pull/slide effects up to 5 squares, and to all Magic Missile effects.
